Delete Your Simplicity Genius Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Simplicity Genius Business Owner account and what happens to your data.

Who this applies to

This applies to business owners who have created a Business Owner Portal account (used to manage a claimed business listing). If you’ve only browsed the app as a consumer, no account exists for you to delete — the app doesn’t require an account to search, browse, or save favorites.

How to delete your account

1. Open the Simplicity Genius app
2. Go to Settings → Business Login and sign in to your account
3. Go to your account settings within the Business Owner Portal
4. Select Delete My Account
5. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

What gets deleted

• Your login credentials (email and password) are permanently deleted
• Your access to manage the business listing is removed

What is retained

• The business listing itself is not deleted — it reverts to “unclaimed” status so it remains discoverable in the directory, and can be claimed again by you or a future owner of the business
• Any contact record created in our CRM system (from your original signup or inquiries) is retained separately, as it is not part of your app account and may be needed for legitimate business recordkeeping
• We may retain limited records as required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes, consistent with our Privacy Policy
